With some carefully researched upgrades, Leadfoot Racing have turned Phil Sullivan’s modified DC5 into a 400bhp fast road and track day weapon!
These are the modified DC5’s techspecs:
The engine is a 2.0l K20A i-VTEC engine with cost log manifold, RBC inlet, ramair cone filter, Leadfoot Racing intercooler, Leadfoot Racing custom 3-inch exhaust with downswept tailpipe, a Garrett T3 hybrid turbo, oil cooler and catch can, Deatchworks 850cc injectors, Walbro 255 pump, Hondata k100 map by j.cal, polybush engine and gearbox mounts, Koyo radiator, JS racing sump and gearbox drains.
The DC5 now achieves 400 brake horsepower and 270 ft-lbs of torque.
The transmission is a 6-speed manual with factory LSD, competition stage 4 clutch and Tegwa short shift with k-tuned pillow ball.
The brakes are Brembo’s with M-Tech discs and PBS pads.
The suspension setup is made up of Ohlins coilovers, Hardrace steering arms and track rod ends, Buddy club roll centre adjuster, front and rear adjustable camber bolts, fender braces, spoon front and rear braces and a rear tie bar.
The wheels are 6 spoke 7.5 by 17 inch et23 Advan RG1 alloys and the tyres are 215/45 x 17-inch ad08r’s.
The interior is full type-r spec including red Recaro seats, Mono leather steering wheel, Willans driver’s harness, Skunk2 billet alloy gear knob with the rear stripped out and cooling mist water methanol injection setup. Also the battery is relocated.
The exterior includes a Varis carbon Kevlar bonnet, Mugen front bumper, custom splitter and Kennards by Paynes fabrication, M&M Honda carbon rear wing, Spoon carbon mirrors and a Datum1 tow eye.
